Welcome to the link compendium!

Oh hey hi

This is the link compendium, a page of useful/fun programs and websites that i use frequently, either because they're useful, fun, or simply cool and worth sharing

There's no particular order to this list really, it's not a ranking by any means, just a bunch of stuff that i recommend for everyone

Oh, and you can click the favicons (or the gif for when there is none) to rapidly access the site i'm talking about

Nightfall City

Relax and loose yourself in the atmosphere of the city, travelling through the busy streets and noisy vendors you'll find yourself captivated by the many districts, and how each citizen brings its own uniqueness to it; or maybe you just want to have a drink or post something in the classified

Nightwave Plaza

A simple internet radio station with a heavy focus on vaporwave and retrowave, with the option to customize how the site looks from a bunch of pictures and themes, you even have the option to download a .m3u to play it in your favorite music player

Foobar2000

My music player of choice, a completely free music player with support for a vast variety of files, online radio support, and plugins to enhance it even further; although the main selling point is, i'd say, the level of customization that it allows, making you able to change the colors, fonts, positions, etc; if you're the kind of person that listens to music locally you should absolutely give it a try

Cobalt

An all-in-one place for downloading anything from practically any social media site, be it youtube, twitter, etc; it has a really clean UI, zero ads, the ability to change the format of the downloads, everything you could ask for in a downloader like this

AlternativeTo

Probably the most useful site out of this list, AlternativeTo is a directory of alternatives to software crowdsourced by the community, thanks to it i've been able to find some of my favorite programs and alternatives to software i was sure had a monopoly in their respective market; if you're not satisfied with that, there's also user created lists of software for differnt purposes, such as writing, ricing, etc
/
Wiby/Marginalia

Both of these search engines have the common goal of shining the light on more independent, non-commercial websites, really useful for discovering new things about an interest, or for killing boredom by seeing what actual people are doing with tools as powerful as creation on the internet
